It goes between your guyline and a rock anchor so the extension takes the abrasion, not your guyline.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n  \u003cp\u003eWhen you use rocks to anchor your shelter, the rock can easily saw through your guyline. Put an extension in that spot instead. 100% UHMWPE handles abrasion far better than standard guyline, and it's light enough that carrying a set of extensions isn't noticeable.
