Hip stabilizers connect the hip belt to the rearmost panel of your Sassafras. Tighten them to lock in the pack, or loosen them for more range of motion. When you tighten them, they pull in the base of the pack into your back, increasing load transfer to the hip belt and providing a more rigid feel.

The stabilizers come in two styles. One style works with Version 3.2 of the Sassafras, while the other works with Versions 3.0 & 3.1.

Sizes: Available in S, M, & L. We recommend choosing the size that matches your hipbelt size, though any size should work.

To install hip stabilizers on Version 3.2, pass the toggle through the opening at the bottom corner of the pack's side pocket. Inside the pocket are two cord loops; insert the g-hook into either loop. Attach the adjustable side to the daisy chain on your hip belt's daisy chain. Clipping it to the 7th or 8th slot from the end of the belt is a good start, but you may want to adjust that to your preferences.

To install hip stabilizers on Version 3.0 or 3.1, pass the non-adjustable g-hook through the opening at the bottom corner of the pack's side pocket. Inside the pocket is a piece of fabric with webbing; insert the g-hook into the webbing. Attach the adjustable side to the daisy chain on your hip belt. Clipping it to the 7th or 8th slot from the end of the belt is a good start, but you may want to adjust that to your preferences.

Warranty

We take pride in the quality of our products. Should you, the original owner, ever have a problem with your YAMA brand product caused by a defect in workmanship, please contact us to arrange repair or replacement. The warranty does not cover damage due to accidents, normal wear and tear, or misuse, and the buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and risk of loss or damage during shipment. Repairs not covered by the warranty can usually be performed for a reasonable fee.

YAMA will do its best to address warranty repairs and replacements in a timely manner, however, be aware that YAMA may close periodically, sometimes for extended periods (we need to get out on the trail sometimes!). During these times, if you have a warranty issue, send us an email and we'll reply as soon as we can. Reasonable efforts will be made to take care of the issue quickly, but in some cases you will have to wait until the shop reopens.
