Which setup is right for you?
This shelter is not for everyone. If you plan to spend long hours hanging in camp, need significant headroom, or prioritize living space over performance and packability, something else will probably serve you better. But if you're out there to hike, sleep, and hike some more, read on.
Both DW systems pair a tarp with an inner for a floor and bug protection. They offer solid protection, slip into tight spots, and use recycled floor fabric, thread, and webbing. The floors are tough enough to skip a groundsheet for most people.
1P Cirriform DW with Bug Shelter — $265
This system pitches higher by default but can be staked lower when severe weather calls for it. Sitting up might be tough for some, but if you don't mind giving up a little headroom for sleeping comfort and solid protection, this is a good option — especially if you hate fabric sloping onto your face and feet while you sleep. 1P Cirriform DW with Bivy — $245
Minimal and low-profile, this shelter is ~70g lighter than the Bug Shelter system. It pitches low by default, so it's great for exposed sites where you might want to keep a low profile to avoid the wind. You won't be able to do much inside besides sleep and maybe read, but it provides more space than most bivies and the suspended netting doesn't drape on you. Perfect if you just want something that gets the job done reliably and predictably, in unpredictable conditions.

Just the tarp and a floor — $230
If bugs aren't an issue, you can skip the inner and just sleep under the tarp with a ground sheet. For extra splash protection, pair it with our tub floor.

Customer favorites
Customers love being able to roll the doors back on clear nights to sleep under the stars (in a sense). When a storm rolls in, you can close the doors in seconds — no scrambling in the dark. With the side door open, there's enough clearance to stand upright on the floor. It's a small detail, but it can be nice at the start or end of a long day.
Closeout Cirriform
We have a batch of 1P Cirriform Tarps that arrived from the factory heavier than spec'd — about 1.6 oz (45g) over. The tarp performs exactly the same; it just doesn't meet our weight standard, so we're pricing it accordingly.
