1P Cirriform DW

$245.00

Ships from Bonner, Montana

The Cirriform, available with your choice of inner

This double-wall (DW) system pairs the 1P Cirriform with your choice of the 1P Bug Shelter or Y-zip Bug Bivy.

Buying the system saves you money compared to buying the components separately. You'll also get an extra stuff sack big enough to fit both items, and we'll pre-install all the rigging for you.

NOTE: Closeout Cirriforms are available here. They had too much coating applied and are heavier than stock.

Learn about the 1P Cirriform DW

At the end of a long day, setting up your shelter should feel straightforward and sure - fast to pitch, solid in wind and rain, and dependable as the light fades. Designed around real trail experience, the Cirriform DW pairs the Cirriform tarp with your choice of inner - the Y-Zip Bug Bivy or 1P Bug Shelter - for a modular, double-wall (DW) setup that's balanced, capable, and trustworthy.

  • Dual Entry
Convenient access from the side and front, with flexible pitching options.
  • Refined Geometry
Optimized floor plan and canopy shape balance usable space with a compact footprint.
  • Adjustable Pitch
Fine-tune height for greater coverage or increased airflow.
  • Wind Stability
Tapered profile and aggressive curvatures create a taut, wind-shedding pitch.
  • Modular System
Works seamlessly with either the Y-Zip Bug Bivy or 1P Bug Shelter.
  • Double-Wall Efficiency
Mitigates condensation while maintaining excellent ventilation.

Refined by Experience

Every curve, angle, and stitch of the Cirriform DW has been shaped by years of real trail use - by YAMA and by thru-hikers who've relied on it through wind, rain, and long miles. It's not about chasing the lowest weight; it's about making thoughtful choices that enhance performance, stability, and ease of use.

Dual entry

The dual-entry design offers side access for fair-weather convenience and front access for protection during poor weather or high condensation.

Adaptable and Modular

The Cirriform DW system lets you choose the setup that fits your needs:

  • Y-Zip Bug Bivy: Minimalist protection with the smallest footprint and lowest weight

Durable, Lightweight Materials

The Cirriform DW is made from durable, recycled 20D Silpoly - a lightweight fabric chosen for its reliable performance in outdoor environments.

    • Outer face coating: Silicone-based
    • Inner face coating: Silicone-based

PeU-coated on the interior for improved puncture resistance and reduced slipperiness.

    • Weight:~45 gsm | ~1.23 oz/yd2
    • Hydrostatic Head: ~2500mm
    • Outer face coating: Silicone
    • Inner face coating: PeU
    • PFAS Free: Yes
    • Taped Seams: Yes
    • Color: Shark gray

Canopy: Ultralight, no-see-um mesh

    • Weight:~17 gsm | ~0.5 oz/yd2
    • Material: Nylon
    • PFAS Free: Yes
    • Color: Black

Components:

    • Zipper: YKK, Size #3
    • Webbing: Recycled Nylon
    • Reflective webbing: Polyester

Required items (not included):

The items needed to pitch your shelter will vary depending on your approach.

  • Front Pole: About 44" - 45" (~111 - 114 cm) when pairing with the Bug Shelter or 39" - 42" (~99 - 107cm) when pairing with the Bivy
  • Rear Pole: At least 31" (~79cm) when pairing with the Bug Shelter or at least 26" (~66cm) when pairing with the Bivy
  • Stakes: 6 (8 for better wind stability)
  • Rigging: If you plan to pitch the inner on its own (not under the Cirriform), you will need additional guyline or our Stand-alone rigging kit. If using tent poles or trekking poles without baskets, you may also need two of our guyline grommets (not needed with stand-alone kit).

Notes/FAQ:

  • Do I need a groundsheet? A groundsheet is not required, but using one will help extend the life of any floor.
  • Do I need to seal the seams? Tarp seams should be sealed using a sealer for silicone coated fabrics (we recommend Seam Grip +SIL by Gear Aid). Optional seam sealing service available. Floor seams are factory-taped and don't require sealing.

How to pitch

Start by staking out the corners of the tarp to establish your base. Raise the poles at the peaks and stake them to form the shelter's shape. Adjust and tension the lines evenly for a tight, balanced pitch. Once the outer is secure, attach the inner by clipping the corners and apexes to the tarp. When breaking camp, leave the inner and outer connected so your shelter is ready for a quick, seamless setup next time.
